General Manager
Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club
A nonprofit Community Complex


Responsibilities:

The General Manager reports to the Management Board. The incumbent is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures set by the management board as well as meeting the objectives of the complex. This includes managing the daily operations, finances and all administration requirements.

The successful candidate will:
  • Lead all aspects of the organization, and report to the Board.
  • Provide leadership and/or support in the areas of strategic planning and continuous complex improvements.
  • Create and implement all operational procedures, prepare budgets, and direct complex operations.
  • Establish and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Act as the primary contact with all levels of government, provincial associations and other professional forums.
  • Supervise all staff including; hiring, evaluating, disciplining and terminating.
Requirements:
  • Post secondary degree/diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience in the fields of management, marketing and fund-raising.
  • Leadership experiences in a business organization, minimum of five years.
  • Experience within the voluntary sector and managing a nonprofit organization.
  • Proven experience in developing business plans, establishing budgets and managing financial assets.
  • Background in facilities management.
