Curl for Cancer need's YOU
Time to start getting your team together for the Annual Curl for Cancer
Bonspiel, to be held Jan 26 at the Fox. Lets help make this one day Fun
spiel a huge success. Let's all come out and support and CURL FOR A CURE.
The second draw is now underway. Some teams are still requiring their
fourth player. If you missed signing up, before the deadline, please see
Spike, and he will put you on a team. New curlers are still Welcome.
The first bonspiel of the 2008 season ,The Hemphill GM is all set to go.
May thanks to Brian and Jeff Hemphill for again sponsoring this Annual
event.
The S&E Tuff Spiel that was postponed before Christmas will now be held on
Jan 12. Sign up Now.
The sign up sheets are now up for the 8th Annual Foxy Lady Bonspiel to be
held at the Fox on Feb. 9-10. Ladies you need to take a weekend off and
come and join us at the club for a weekend of fun and curling.
Best of luck to our Juniors who will be competing at the Western Curling
Club in Alberton in their Provincial Play downs this week. The public is
invited to attend this event and support our Juniors.
Curling Etiquette: Only the skip and mate(third) are allowed in the house
between turns. Sweepers may sweep their own team's stone into the house.
Once the stone comes to rest, sweepers retreat to the area between the hog
lines.
